💛🩵 November 2nd Wear Blue & Yellow for Educator Mental Health Awareness Month

Educator

Mental Health Awareness Month

Educator Mental Health Awareness Month was founded by Dr. Shamira Webb. In November 2025, it marked its first year as the first proclamation of its kind in the United States. Georgia led the way in officially recognizing what educators carry and what they deserve, and we're inviting other states to join us in this mission so educator well-being becomes a national priority.

Educator Mental Health Awareness Month exists to create intentional spaces where educators are seen, supported, and celebrated for that work. Our goal is to make educator well-being a shared and sustained priority, not a short-term initiative, because the same passion that makes this profession meaningful also comes with real emotional weight, one that deserves attention all year, not just one month.

That's why our aim here is twofold. We want people outside education to better understand what educators across every role actually experience, so the support they receive is rooted in real understanding rather than assumption. And we want educators themselves to know that talking openly about mental health and wellness, without guilt or stigma, is simply part of how we take care of each other and the students we love.
